Flying into Mexico with a private pilot license (PPL) is a great way to explore the country’s beautiful landscapes and rich culture. But, you’ll first need to prepare yourself, as flying to Mexico isn’t exactly the same as flying around the United States. Let’s take a look and find out the proper procedures and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable flight into this exciting country.

Proper Pilot Licensing

First, let’s make sure you have the skills and qualifications to fly into mexico. You’ll need to obtain a private pilot license, which certifies that you know the basic operations and principles of safe flight. One of the great things about obtaining a PPL is that you can fly pretty much anywhere outside of restricted airspace, as long as it’s under visual flight rules (VFR) conditions.
