1) 50th & France: Edina
50th and France, with its brick sidewalks lined with street lamps, numerous boutique shops and cozy dining establishments, is the ideal place to spend the day shopping. Explore the area’s many fashionable shops like Bluebird, Bumbershute, Equation and Evereve that specialize in a number of different styles from bohemian to urban to modern and beyond.
2) Galleria: Edina
Another shopping destination in Edina is known is the upscale Galleria – a collection of luxury clothing, home décor and other high-end shops, as well as dining at The Good Earth. There are familiar brand names like Louis Vuittan and Tiffany’s in addition to smaller, independent shops, like designer shoe store Pumpz and apparel/accessories designer Melly.
3) Water Street: Shorewood
Shorewood is an affluent suburb of western Minneapolis, located on the shore of Lake Minnetoka. The main downtown drag, Water Street, is occupied by a row of boutiques, quaint antique storefronts and gift shops. After a few hours of shopping, grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants and walk along the shore of Excelsior Bay
4) The Shops at West End: St. Louis Park
The Shops at West End, located just off I-394/HWY-100 in St. Louis Park, was built in an open-air setting with an upscale feel. High-end shops include Joseph A. Bank, Anthropologie and jewelry store Continental Diamond, among others. The site also includes buzzy restaurants for a quick bite or beer as well as a movie theater showing the latest flicks (also a great way to get out of any rain).
5) Twin Cities Premium Outlets: Eagan
Located about 30 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, this upscale outlet mall in Eagan is home to more than 85 stores, all tax free. Huge Coach and Kate Spade New York stores are sure to make a dent in your bank account, while other popular brands like Nike, Adidas and Under Armor will help refresh your athletic aesthetic.
6) Ridgedale Center: Minnetonka
As far as malls go, Ridgedale Center in Minnetonka is one of the best among Minneapolis suburbs. Anchored by Macy’s, Nordstrom and JCPenney, the 1,105,000 square-foot space contains roughly 140 tenants total. Considered an “upscale shopping center”, Ridgedale caters to luxury shoppers, carrying such brands such as Coach New York, Swarovski and TUMI, among others.
7) Mall of America: Bloomington
There are well over 500 stores within Mall of America, in addition to huge department stores to entertainment venues and even an indoor amusement park. So, sometimes the high-end stores tend to get lost in the expanse of MOA’s massive size. But, thanks to Minnesota’s lack of sales tax on clothing, chic fashion can be found everywhere. The most luxurious brands include Coach, Burberry, Armani and Kate Spade, among many others.
8) The Shoppes at Arbor Lake: Maple Grove
If you’re searching for the latest fashions, incredible home furnishings or the perfect gift, you’re sure to find it at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove. This 400,000+ square-foot lifestyle center was designed to resemble a traditional “main street” feel. And, in line with its unique style, it caters more to boutique shops than larger department stores found at traditional malls. Stores include national chains like Pottery Barn and Brooks Brothers, as well as local stores like Francesca’s and GoodThings.
