1) Rent a Shelter and Enjoy a Picnic
Have a small get-together of close family or friends at an Edina park, where reservations have resumed. Pack a basket of delicious sandwiches, some drinks and organize some activities, and experience a classic summer day.
2) Recreation at Centennial Lakes Park
This 24-acre park in the heart of Edina is the perfect place to relax on a shady knoll, rent paddle boats and enjoy the 10-acre man-made lake, or ice skate in the winter. The park also has 1.5-miles of pathway, swinging benches, plenty of seating areas and even a miniature golf course.
3) Ride Along Nine-Mile Creek Trail
If you’re up for a bike ride, Nine-Mile Creek Regional Trail is a long bike path and walkway that runs from eastern Edina through the north side and connects to the larger Three Rivers Parks system. This trail leads to much longer rides through the extensive Minneapolis Greenway, Minnehaha Creek and Grand Rounds Trails.
4) Explore Bredesen Park
Check two of things off your list, by taking the Nine-Mile Creek Trail through Bredesen Park, which is a great off-shoot of the trail system. This area is full of protected, Minnesota-style wilderness, and features several miles of trails, much of it upon raised boardwalk.
5) Golf a Round at Braemer

6) Join a Country Club
As some of the most expensive and high-end destinations in the U.S., country clubs aren’t a dime a dozen. And Edina is home to two world-class country clubs: Interlachen and Edina Country Club. 7) Take a Self-Guided Historic Tour
The Edina Heritage Preservation Commission, along with City staff, created a three-mile, 6,500-step loop that takes self-guided participants through a tour of historical places in Edina. Did you know that Edina was once home to a famous Hollywood actress, chart-topping musician and legendary architect? A drive, bike or walk between each of the various properties can provide a good way to kill an afternoon.
9) Retreat for Lake-Side Fun on Bryant Lake
